575 Lexington is prominently located in Midtown Manhattan’s prestigious Plaza District with convenient access to Grand Central Terminal, Central Park and an abundance of exceptional dining, entertainment and retail amenities. Situated on the easterly block of Lexington Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets, the building offers excellent exposure and stunning views, amidst some of New York City’s most well-known office properties and corporate headquarters.
Lighting for the Lobby of 575 Lexington Avenue was designed to draw attention to the building’s entrance with two large “lanterns” of light flanking the glass wall of entry doors. On the other side of the entry doors the light shifts from cool to warm drawing the visitor into the lobby. The warm curved textured resin feature wall to the left as you walk into the building is uplight with T5 Lamps built descreating into the base.
A regular sequence of illuminated reveals in the celing progreses from the entry at a slight angle down to the elevators. Custom linear fixtures were designed in conjunction with Cooper Lighting to uplight the barrel valuted slots providing a soft ambient illumination for the interior of the lobby and create a continious visual rythm.
