Andaz Papagayo is a mixed-use 153 key resort located in the heart of Peninsula Papagyo. Upon the resorts completion in 2014, this 5 Star property will include - a Main Building, Convention Facilities, Full Spa and Fitness Center, (3) Restaurants, Children’s Center, Wedding Pavilion, (9) Guest Block Buildings, full landscape design with multiple Event Spaces, and (2) Swimming Pools.

The design philosophy of Peninsula Papagayo draws from two major sources: the land itself and the indigenous Pre-Columbian culture that inhabited the peninsula over 3,000 years ago. Zurcher Architectos along with DAS Concepts have created buildings
that are in continuous harmony with the ocean, land, flora and fauna, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The design team sought out to unify the visual theme of a subtle blending of people
and structures and lighting with the landscape in order to preserve and enhance
the natural environment. This in hopes will make the lifestyle at Peninsula Papagayo one where people today can experience the same beauty and mystery that drew inhabitants to the region centuries ago.
