Joan landed in the lighting industry by accident but through the years, has learned to love and embrace this dynamic and ever changing industry. Being a Computer Engineering graduate, Jo believes her happy accident into lighting design has opened unlimited possibilities for creativity, learning, design techniques and project management.

Joining CD+M in 2014 she became an integral part of Courtney’s Hopitality Lighting Design team for 5 years she spent with the firm. Joan played a key role in helping to elevate the design and production stanardards across the company and set the bar for excellence amongst her collegues in the firm.

Joan’s role at Studio Mark has now been taken to the next level where she has learned to visualize concepts through rendering in Photoshop, 3D Max, modeling in Sketch-up and has become a Dialux master.
